The training was officially opened by the Head of Puslitbang APTIKA-IKP. In his presentation, he stated that the Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kemkominfo) has been given the task by the President of the Republic of Indonesia to implement and accelerate digital transformation. This digital transformation is a change in mindset in utilizing and using Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Not only does it inclued converting conventional data to digital, it also includes changing the mindset to make all business processes in organizations and institutions simpler and more efficient. Therefore, all tasks can be carried out more quickly. This also includes being able to use data to make valid and correct decisions. This is what is called digital transformation.

It is for this reason that Kemkominfo is implementing several pillars of the program. The first pillar is Digital Infrastructure. Without infrastructure, we cannot implement digital-based business processes. Therefore, Kemkominfo has been building BTS towers in various regions. The next pillar is Applications, which are widely used for public services. The third pillar is Digital Economy. This pillar is very important, because people are currently doing economic transactions on various digital platforms. The fourth pillar is a Digital Society. Kemkominfo has several strategies to realize a digital society. The first is to open various kinds of training courses, from basic to advanced level, consisting of 8 academies. One of these academies is the Digital Entrepreneurship Academy (DEA). DEA is a training program intended for the community, especially MSME actors. Hopefully, this training is able to provide maximum benefits in advancing MSME’s in Indonesia.
